Blatant Plagiarism

Go to the NewsGator Feed Search page at http://www.newsgator.com/feeds.aspx, and look at the right side where we list some places to find more feeds.

Now go to http://www.feed-me.info/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=32. Look familiar?

Not only is our text being used word-for-word, but two of the images (for Syndic8 and Daypop) are images that we made ourselves (with permission), since there wasn’t anything else available. Too bad they’re not linking to the images on my server – I could have some fun.

Update 10/1/2003 10:00am – it appears the page in question has been removed.

I love NewsGator, but I have to admit that the idea of having an online aggregator is interesting. For all those times that I don’t have access to Outlook while on the road..

  2. More Stolen Web Content

Blatant Plagiarism: Another instance of Web content being stolen, just like Shirley’s a couple of weeks ago. And, just like that instance, they took the page down after word leaked out. “Not only is our text being used word-for-word, but…[more]

A while back I wrote a Dragonball Z story called What The Heart Can See, a 5-chapter series of fics put together using the

chaptering feature. My author profile is at http://www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=6257

A while back another author called Dark Angel(Now known as Dark Angel198) plagiarized my work. Due to the site acting

up on me, I had to post another fic with an author’s note at the beginning to draw attention to the thievery. She was caught and

removed…but now she’s BACK! She’s stolen the first two chapters of my fic(screwing up the formatting, but it’s still them

word for word, even the titles!) and I’m sure the rest will show up soon! I need you to help me rid Fanfiction.net of this thief.

Please help! Her profile is at http://www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=310858 I urge you to please, if you see any more of

my work under her name, leave a review saying it’s stolen and report it!

I’ve reported her with proof, but I would like people to back me up on this issue. I’m very upset about this, because the

character named Lee is based on my sister – she’s dearly departed – and this little snot-nosed thief is just stealing the work I put

my heart, my own and my sister’s souls into and taking credit! PLEASE, I beg you people to help me stop this
