Here's a fairly comprehensive list of volunteer and charity work that can be done for the
kids overseas in harm's way.

The flag is flying here too. And my wife is running http://www.2frogs.net/carepackages.htm to put our bandwidth where our mouths are.

" don't necessarily agree with everything our administration does, but once the decisions are made, they have my full support. The time for protest has passed."

So what if your administration decides something that goes against your interessests and your credo, let say prohibiting gatormail, saying it's supporting "the axe of evil"? Are you still 100% behind them? Would you have been during the McCarty period?

Well said Greg! I could not agree more. I have a good friend who served as a marine in the Gulf War and I have learned a lot from him. Support your country, support your troops. They may be defending you in a future war you do support! Wonder if those protesters think about that?

Count me in. I agree that the time for protest is over. Anyone capable of gassing 60,000 of his own citizens can have my boot applied to his throat. I'm sick of living in a world where countries that can make a difference don't bother to do something about what's going on around them. Where the hell was France when Hitler was rearming in 1935? How about Austria and Czechoslovakia in 1938? How about Serbia when the US went in stop the slaughter without UN approval? I'm not naive enough to think that there aren't vital US interests in the Gulf, but so what? The fact is that the world is more concerned about US hegemony that about some 5 foot nothing spoiled brat in north korea building nuclear weapons or some petty dictator in Iraq gassing his own people.
